We have recently had Opera 3 installed and I am trying to find out what the file permissions should be at the Opera_share\data\company_name level.
At present these appear to be “Full Control” for “All Users” which does not seem correct
Can anyone enlighten me please.
Thank you

The users of Opera will need full read write access to the data folder

Thanks you
But I take it not “Delete” or as is now “Full Control”

Opera users need full control, all rights, on the data folder. They must be able to create, delete, edit files on demand.
Sometimes network administrators don’t like this as it seems OTT, however, such is the situation. Network and server data security might be served better by either having the Opera data/system on a separate server or volume – so as to keep it away from other shared data folders etc.
If you edit the folder security level you may (probably will) get data access issues on Opera.
I don’t know if this addresses you concern?
